Hanukkah
The Hanukkah is a relijious holiday celebrated by Israelitians. This is celebrated because the Jewis win over the king Antiochus, the king of Siria in the 2nd century. This festival is celebrated in 25th day of the Hebrew month "Kislev", and it lassts for eight days. In the festival the people decorate his houses with a "Memorah" and with "Dreidels". In this days the Islaelitians eat traditional food like "Latkes", jelly donuts and "Gelt".
KWANZAA
The name of this festival, is Kwanzaa. The Afrikan Amerikan people celebrate it and to greet say habarigani which means "what is new" They celebrate rthis festival with a special candles, this candles have three diferent color, three red, one black and three green, this people light the candles .
This festival begins in December 27th to January 1st.
The us governament has issued two kwanza stamps: one in 1997 and another 2004.

Chinese new year
The Chinese New Year !!!
The meaning of the name in Chinese is, Chún jie. It is not a religious or a secular holiday , is simply a new year celebration. The people who celebrate this celebration celebrate the difference between western and traditional Chinese.
It starts on the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar. It lasts for fifteen days. Chinese new year is also called Spring Festival. It starts on February 3 and ends on February 17.
People celebrate in their houses with lanterns made from paper. And they also buy new clothes. They don´t repeat any food.

The name of the holiday is kwanzaa, Kwanzaa is Swahili and means "first fruits.". It is a culture festival, African americans celebrate it and they celebrate an african american heritage. Kwanzaa was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga of United Slaves Organization in 1966.
It´s celebrate fron December 26 to January 1 and it last seven days. The decoration of this holiday include African art, Kinaras ( there´re seven candels three red, three green and one black)and they wear a uwole, it is a brightly colored article clothing warn by women in African. They eat fresh fruits. During Kwanzaa people say Habari Gani, which means "What´s the News?", it is a tradicional greeting
for the holiday.

The first thanksgiving day celebrate in 1621, and they ate the same that we eat now (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes,turkey gravy, yams, corn and cranberry sauce).

Chinese spring festival
This festival is celebrate in all te cinese comunities.And it is a religious holiday for budhists and daiosts. this holiday lasts fitieen days.
The people decorate their houses with generally greeting. And they wear red clothes and bright colours because it begins the new year. The eat fish and mandarin orange. Why? because there are homophones. For example, fish in china is "yu" which means also surpluses. And the same is true with oranges, called "ju" in chinese which also means "luck" or "fortune".
Chinese Spring Festival its a secular holiday and they celebrate in february 23. This holiday conmemorates the new year of china. It long 15 days and they celebrate in 2012. The people decorated there house with dragons and chinese cultur. They eat chinese food, like Pigs, ducks , chicken and sweet. The red evelope gave good luck.If you stay there in the new year they say to you:hung hii fat choi,this mean congratulations and be prosparate.

Our holidays name is Thanksgiving day. Families from Canada and from the USA celebrates it on november 22 and is a secular holiday. They say: "have good thanksgiving day". In the past, Wampanoag Indians and the pilgrims got together, for one day. The first time was on 1621, it was a revelation to the colonist and they ate the same that we eat nowdays; turkey, mashed potaoes, yams, corn and cranbery sauce.

Kwanzaa
It conmemorates the afroamerican herritage and culture as well. The holiday is about unity, self determination, collective work, responsability, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.
Kwanzaa was created by Dr. Maulana Karenga of United Slaves Organisation in 1966. It's actually like an African alternative to Christmas.
People celebrate Kwanzaa from December 26th to January 1th, 7 days. It's this year celebrated betwen 2011 and 2012.
They put a kinara in their houses which is a candle holder. They also put seven candles: 3 red color ones, a black one and another 3 green color ones. The red color represents the noble blood that unites all people of African ancestry, black for the people and green for the rich land of Africa.
The kiaras are considered good luck. There's nothing forbidden during this holiday.
The tradicional greeting for this holiday is Habari Gani which means What's new?
To conclude, let's say that Kwanzaa is like Christmas but in african culture.

The Thanksgiving is a party from the USA. It began a lot of year ago because of the indians. In spanish means Accion de Gracias.
It isn't a religious it is a secular holiday. This party celebrate only the federal state(USA).
The party conmemorate the three days that the indians stayed there.
The first Thanksgiving was in the year1621, it is on November, the 4th week of November (Thursday).
It is a federal party that only celebrate in the USA.
The peopler celebrate it eating a lot of meal all the family or friends together, they eat Turkey stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, yams, corn, cranberry sauce and pumphim pie.
